5 Secret Functions Of Your Smartphone

Since the launch day of the iPhone 13, we wrote this helpful article. If you’ve got a new iPhone or a new Samsung Galaxy S10, some features are entertaining to use. Here we list 5 tremendous and “secret” functions of your smartphone.

Almost everyone uses their smartphone to take pictures, keep in touch with other people and play games. That was it already! However, many functions are rarely used. It would be a shame if you did not know this one.

Take A Picture During A Video Call

All current smartphones are equipped with one or more cameras, which are of excellent quality. With some newer devices, you can even take photos during the video call. This button is often found right next to the video record button. Unfortunately, the quality of such images is not as good as that of a stock photo.

Measure With Your Smartphone

If you have an iPhone, you can use the built-in ruler, which is a convenient feature! You can measure the height of particular objects through several sensors in your device. This function only works with portable devices with iOS, such as the iPad or the iPhone. If you want to use something similar on an Android, you need to find an app on the Play Store and download it. Some recommended apps for this are “Bubble Level” and “Level with Voice.”

Lock Apps

For example, if you lend your smartphone to someone, you don’t want that person to access your personal information. You can prevent this with both Android and iOS. On iOS, you can find this feature by doing the following: Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Guided Access. This is how you can activate this function. Then click three times on the button on the side of this application. On Android, first, go to Settings -> Security & Location and make sure the screen is frozen. Then check the open apps and click on an app icon to find the “Pin” option.

A Different Ringtone For Each Contact

You can use this function with iOS and Android. To change the ringtone, first, open an already saved contact on your iOS device, then click on Edit and select the last ringtone or text tone.

For Android models, go to your contacts to select a connection. Click on the three dots in the top right to open the menu. Select the “Set Ringtone” option.

You Are Reading Messages By Your Assistant

Many people are already familiar with this feature: Siri on iOS and Google Assistant on Android. You can communicate with these two AI’s and make sure they are performing different tasks.

For an iPhone, say, “Hey Siri, read my messages,” and for an Android device, say, “Hey Google, read my messages.” With the correct settings, you can also reply or repeat information.

Did you find this tip helpful to make better use of your smartphone? The better use of a mobile phone is a pleasure for everyone, but you can only really enjoy your mobile phone and realize its full potential if it is well protected! If you wonder whether there is already an iPhone 13 case on the market, you’ve come to the right place.
