Xiaomi 11T (Pro): What It Looks Like, What It Can, When It Comes

The Xiaomi 11T (Pro) is already in the starting blocks. What to expect is pretty much straightforward. The design has also already leaked. We briefly summarize the rumours about the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 11T (Pro) for you.

Presentation And Market Launch

Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be afraid of the competition with its next prank. The Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro will celebrate their premiere on September 15, at 2 p.m. German time. That is precisely one day after the iPhone 13 appears. Neither device is a direct competitor, but it is generally challenging to get a lot of attention in the Apple hype.

When will the devices be on the market? Xiaomi has not yet revealed that. Since the manufacturer is already promoting the concept on its channels outside of Weibo, we assume that the 11T and 11T Pro will also be available directly in Germany and not exclusively in China. What will be missing from the product launch: the “Mi”. Xiaomi has already omitted the name affix on its last devices, which will also be the case with the Xiaomi 11T (Pro).

Design

Some pictures have already appeared on the Internet that are supposed to show the new models. Accordingly, the punch-hole section moves into the middle compared to its predecessor. In addition, the camera module is significantly beefier. However, the angular look, for which the T series already stands for the Mi 10T, remains. The fingerprint sensor to unlock the smartphone is located in the power button on the side. As for colour options, you can supposedly choose between “Celestial Blue”, “Meteorite Gray”, and “Moonlight White”.

Camera

As you can see in the pictures, there is a triple camera in the Xiaomi 11T (Pro). The setup is rumoured to lead a 108 MP lens – in both models. In the meantime, it was said that the 11T would “only” have a 64 MP notch. You don’t have to make any compromises here, according to Twitter leaker Abhishek Yadav. The 11T should also open up an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 5 MP telephoto macro lens. It is not yet clear to what extent the Xiaomi 11T Pro has differences on board, or whether both devices have the same camera.

Display

Both the Xiaomi 11T and the 11T Pro get an AMOLED display that allows a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel itself is said to be 6.67 inches tall. If we believe the rumour mill, there doesn’t seem to be any significant differences between the two devices here either, but they’re coming now:

Power

The heart of the Xiaomi 11T Pro is said to be a Snapdragon 888. The 11T seems to be a Density 1200, which is probably the biggest weakness of the standard model compared to the Pro version. Both devices offer 5G support. There is already information about the main memory and internal storage: You should expect 8 GB of RAM and at least 128 GB of ROM.

Battery And Charging

Both the basic and the Pro version are said to have a 5000 mAh battery. You can change this with up to 120 watts on the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The manufacturer calls the feature HyperCharge, which not only provides you with long-term energy storage. You fill the battery with new electricity very quickly.

The Xiaomi 11T should probably not have a 120-watt feature. Presumably, the charging speed should still be 67 watts, already available on other Xiaomi devices. So that would still be much faster than with Samsung, Apple and Co.
