Xiaomi, The Features Of The New Mini PC

Xiaomi’s first mini PC has been officially presented, with an Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 SSD. Let’s find out more about the company’s first computer.

Xiaomi officially presented its first mini PC with a 12th-generation Intel Core i5 processor.

The main feature of this device is its highly compact dimensions: 11.2 x 11.2 x 3.8 cm, with a weight of just 437 grams. Perfect to be placed even in the tightest spaces.

Xiaomi Mini PC, Technical Characteristics

The processor inserted inside this computer is the new Intel i5 1240p, with 12 cores: 4 P-core (Performance) + 8 E-core (Efficient). Total 16 Threads with Max Turbo Frequency: 4.4GHz (P) | 3.3GHz (E). Maximum TDP Turbo: 64W. L3 Cache: 12MB. The GPU, however, is an Intel Iris Xe maximum frequency of 1.3 GHz.

The full version of Xiaomi’s mini-computer is sold with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, but it is also possible to purchase the “barebones” version without these components. Still speaking of RAM, the Xiaomi PC comes with 16 GB, DDR4 3,200 MHz.

The computer comes with an SSD with 512GB of storage space, PCIe 4.0 NVMe. The endowment of ports and connectors is also very interesting; on the back, which can count on: 2x HDMI 2.1, 2x Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C), 1x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, 1x USB 3.0 Gen 2, and 1x USB 2.0.

The front ones are 2x USB 3.0 Gen 2 and 1x 3.5 mm audio jack. Regarding connectivity, the Xiaomi PC has already integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 cards. The overall power consumption of the mini computer is 100W.

The mini PC is only available in China and sold with Windows 11 Home Edition installed. The “barebones” version, without RAM and SSD, should arrive on the market in the next few days.

As regards the marketing of the product on the international market, no indications have been provided by Xiaomi. The company will offer more information about importing and purchasing in the West in the coming weeks.

Likewise, the prices are those defined for the Chinese market with the Xiaomi mini PC in the 16 + 512 GB + Windows 11 Home configuration, available at 3,699 renminbi which would be around 500 euros.

The “barebones” version, coming soon, will cost 2,799 renminbi, which would be around 380 euros.
